As you know, Mads will be turning 48 years old on November 22. With Augustina and Catherine we decided to create a Group Card for everyone to sign! The deadline is November 19. The card will then be send to Martha and/or Lorettas and they’ll pass it along to Mads.

So a friend had this idea while we were going through our cook books. What if all the Fannibals submitted their favorite recipe, modify them so that various ingredients are changed to people parts, and we made a cook book for Bryan Fuller? Inbox myself or koscheilyn your thoughts on this!

The point that your question/remark misses is that the commentary I made on the previous Flamingo was not about whether or not readers have the right to criticize (= whether or not writers should “just get praise”) - it was about how appropriate it is to give direct unsollicited concrit to a creator. If you think everyone should always be fine with receiving direct, unsollicited critiques of their stuff, that’s a fine opinion to have, but it shouldn’t go hand in hand with shock and surprise that sometimes these critiques are received with something other than unadulterated joy and gratefulness. Which is what that Flamingo was about.
In other words, “when you put your criticism out there, you won’t just get thanks. You might get honest reactions by wounded creators, and criticism of the parts of your comments they didn’t like.”
And I’m going to stop there, bc I don’t actually want to make the Flamingo into a soapbox or a Miss Fanfic Manners column. :)
To give or not to give concrit - always tricky.
